NMSI LTF Training for Elementary Info Below:

Arkansas AIMS is pleased to announce the addition of  Laying the Foundation Training for Elementary grades 3-5 in math, science, English, and social studies.

Participants  will work through model lessons and discuss strategies for engaging students with interesting content while building conceptual understanding. LTF is research-based, content-focused, and pedagogy-driven and includes interdisciplinary connections and Fine Arts enhancements. The content is vertically aligned to the middle and high school LTF materials; it  is concrete, hands-on, and grounded in the Common Core State Standards.

  • Math and Science: The math and science training and resources incorporate STEM designed investigations. You will empower your students through science by teaching them to observe and problem solve using real-world application of mathematical concepts.
  • English and Social Studies: English Language Arts and social studies training equip you with tools to use complex text and relevant content to enhance student skills in reading, writing, and research. We introduce fun and engaging ways to make connections for students by reading non-fiction and literary works to tie together the disciplines.

LTF is now available for elementary teachers in the following subjects only: Science/Math & English/Social Studies. Teachers may only register for 1 class per training location. Seating is limited with only 1 classroom per subject being offered at each location and only 30 seats per class available.

All elementary LTF training is at a flat rate of $425.00 for Arkansas participants and $525 for out of state participants. This is a significantly lower rate than other states offering this training.
