Dance Major
North Little Rock High School Grad
“I chose UALR because of the dance program – it’s the only one in the state. I want to go into entertainment or cultural anthropology. I love being on stage and dancing, and I love learning about other cultures and foods. I’ve always said I love making people feel good about themselves. What I decide to do is all up in the air. I want to travel for sure, so we’ll just see where it all takes me.
The faculty at UALR impresses me. My anthropology teacher made me fall in love with college the first semester I walked onto this campus. He knew so much information and explained it so well. It was one of the most difficult classes I’ve ever had, but he really helped me grasp it. It was unbelievable the stories he told and the places he’d been.
What I love about Little Rock is the historic district – the downtown area, especially the Rep. I love going to the theatre to see shows and tour backstage and be a part of the behind scenes. I actually landed a gig as an original cast member of the newest theatre coming to the central Arkansas, the Argenta Community Theatre.”
