The UALR mission includes a focus on promoting “humane sensitivities and understanding of interdependence” and the health of our university will depend on our ability to see this to fruition.
Diversity and Inclusion Plan: An initiative focused on “building a positive and welcoming culture for everyone who comes to campus–whether they work, live, or learn here.”
“The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is committed to diversity and inclusion and seeks to incorporate differing viewpoints and worldviews into the campus conversation about the future of the institution.
Our students, faculty, and staff represent the broad diversity of Arkansas and we must work to ensure that all feel welcome and safe on campus regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, language, disability status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or socioeconomic status.”
~ Zulma Toro, Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs and Provost
