Academic Success Center

The Academic Success Center (ASC) is committed to helping you excel. We offer a dynamic range of academic programs and support services that are designed with you in mind. The ASC invites you to take full advantage of our high-tech computer lab facilities and quiet places to study. Our friendly staff is available to listen and connect with you. We strive to help you gain essential skills for success!

The ASC currently has four programs to serve you.

  • The Collegiate Success Program serves new freshmen and new transfer freshmen who are needing to complete developmental coursework in English, Reading, and Math.
  • The College Reading Program provides courses to help students get the most out of college by assisting students to develop effective methods of listening, note-taking, reading, and studying. Additionally, this program offers standardized test preparation services.
  • The Ronald E. McNair Program is a federal TRiO program that provides support to students from disadvantaged backgrounds in order to be successful in doctoral study.
  • The Student Support Services program is a federal TRiO program that supports eligible students by providing tutorial services, skill development, and guidance counseling with an emphasis on developing strategies for succeeding in college.
