Collegiate Success Program
The Collegiate Success Program (CSP) targets new UALR freshmen and transfer freshmen needing to complete developmental coursework in Reading, English, and Math. Through the CSP, academically at-risk students will receive one-on-one intrusive academic advising services and will be engaged in a small cohort, learning community which promotes community building activities. All CSP students are required to sign a contract and participate in the program for one year (two consecutive semesters). First year students who meet program eligibility are invited to participate in the program.
Enrolling in the Collegiate Success Program does not require additional fees, time or effort. The classes are scheduled sequentially during normal university hours.
The goal of the program is to improve retention rates, enhance learning opportunities, and provide students with a way to develop a “community” with other students who have similar academic needs on UALR’s primarily commuter campus.
