International Graduate Students

International students wishing to make application to graduate programs in accounting must first apply for admission to the UALR Graduate School. Detailed information about the admission process can be found at http://ualr.edu/gradschool/index.php/home/international-students/. Following admission to the Graduate School, the College of Business and Department of Accounting will evaluate applicants according to the admission requirements listed above. This will include consideration of TOEFL scores, GMAT scores, and GPA.

Note:

  1. International students who have not completed an accounting degree will be required to complete the Accounting Foundation courses (24 hours).
  2. International students who have completed accounting degrees outside the United States will be required to complete sufficient accounting courses to familiarize them with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), U.S. Taxation, and U.S. Governmental Accounting in addition to the requirements of the graduate program. This will require international students to register for an additional 6-9 semester hours of course work.
