What is the deadline to apply for admission to UALR?

Term Deadline Date
Spring 2010 The deadline to apply for admission and submit credentials will be January 4 2010, 5:00 p.m.
Summer 1 and 2 2010 The deadline to apply for admission and submit credentials will be May 17, 2010, 5:00 p.m.
Summer 4 2010 June 28, 2010, 5:00 p.m.
Fall 2010 August 11, 2010, 5:00 p.m.

How do I apply for admission?

UALR requires that you submit the following documents:

  1. Official high school transcript (at least a 7th semester transcript initially)
    or GED scores
  2. Official Test Scores
    (ACT, SAT, or COMPASS; see http://ualr.edu/testing for testing information)
  3. Immunization Record (showing proof of 2 MMR vaccines taken 30 days apart)
  4. Official transcripts from each institution attended - if you have taken ANY college coursework.

All transcripts and test scores must be received in the UALR Office of Admissions and Financial Aid no later than 5:00 p.m. on the application deadline date (see table above).

After I’m accepted to UALR, what should I do next

You should contact your academic advisor to schedule an advising appointment. In order to be advised you will have to submit both your ACT/SAT scores and at least a 7th semester high school transcript. If you have taken college courses ,we will also need your college transcripts.

When can I register for classes?

You may register for classes AFTER you are advised. All entering freshmen must be registered by

  • Spring - Jan 8, 2010 by 4:00 p.m.
  • Summer 1 -May 21, 2010 by 4:00 p.m.
  • Summer 2 - May 21, 2010 by 4:00 p.m.
  • Summer 4 - July 3, 2010 by 4:00 p.m.
  • Fall 2010 - August 18, 2010 by 4:00 p.m. There will be NO late registration for entering freshmen.

When do classes begin?

  • Spring classes begin January 11, 2010

  • Summer 1 classes begin May 24th
  • Summer 2 classes begin May 24th
  • Summer 4 classes begin July 6th
  • Fall classes begin August 19th.

How do I get a copy of my GED scores?

You will need to complete this form from the Arkansas GED testing service and mail it to the address on the form.
