Admissions Process

Once your online application for admission is received it will be reviewed and you should receive a letter in 3-5 business days reminding you what items are needed in order to complete your file. Your file must be complete before you will be fully admitted to the university.

Checklist (What do I need to turn in?)

Entering Freshmen:

definition: Never inrolled at any institution past high school.

  • Please review admissions standards.
  • Final High School Transcriptwith a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5
  • ACT/SAT scores taken within the last 5 years with an ACT composite score of at least 21 or equivalent SAT score of 990.
  • Immunization records (2 rounds of Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccination)

Freshman Transfers:

definition: Previously attended at another instituition and transferring less than 12 semester hours.

  • Please review admissions standards.
  • Final High School Transcriptwith a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5
  • ACT/SAT scores taken within the last 5 years with an ACT composite score of at least 21 or equivalent SAT score of 990.
  • Immunization records (2 rounds of Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccination)
  • Official transcripts from each institution attended

Transfers:

definition: previously attended another institution and transferring more than 12 hours

  • Immunization records (2 rounds of Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccination)
  • Official transcripts from each institution attended

Transient Students:

definition: currently attending another institution and planning to transfer UALR course back.

  • Letter of Good Standing from current institution

Temporary:

definition: limited to 4 hours per semester, but no mor than a total of 8 hours

  • Immunization records (2 rounds of Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccination)

PostBaccalaurate:

definition: must havea baccalaureate degree

  • Immunization records (2 rounds of Measles, Mumps and Rubella vaccination)
  • Official transcript from degree granting institution

Senior Citizens:

Non-degree seeking

definition: must be at least 60 years old, non-degree seeking

  • Proof of Age
Degree seeking

definition: must be at least 60 years old, degree seeking

  • Proof of Age
  • Official transcript from degree granting institution.
