Get Involved!

College life offers wonderful opportunities for involvement, and gives you a chance to make new friends and discover leadership skills you didn’t know you had. Studies show that students who join university organizations and participate in activities are more successful than students who don’t get involved. At UALR, we have more than 80 student organizations that cover a variety of interests. We’re sure you’ll find one that’s right for you!

“As an adult student returning to college, the adult student program and the peer mentoring program were invaluable. They provided a connection between me and the campus. I found friendly, smiling faces that made me feel a part of UALR. My peer mentor was available to answer questions and just to develop a friendship with. And now, as a peer mentor myself, I have the opportunity to provide that important link to other students. Barbara Silaski provides adult students with the resources and relationships that they need to establish themselves in that first important semester.”
