Registering for Classes
Senior citizens may begin registering for classes on the last day of regular registration. This date can be found on the UALR website, or in the Registration Pocket Guide which you can pick up at Records & Registration located in Administration South.
Non-degree seeking students:
If you are non-degree seeking, you may choose the classes you wish to take, and register without being academically advised. You should check the Undergraduate Catalog to determine if any of the classes in which you wish to enroll have a prerequisite. You may also choose to audit a course (receive no credit, take no tests) by choosing that option at the time of registration.
Degree seeking students:
If first time entering college, apply online, submit high school transcript or official GED scores, and ACT or SAT test scores taken within the previous five years. You may opt to take the UALR Accuplacer test in lieu of the ACT or SAT.
If you have attended college previously and have earned credits, apply online. Contact each of the colleges you have attended and request all official college transcripts be sent to UALR Office of Admissions and Financial Aid, 2801 S. University Ave., Little Rock, AR 72204.
You will need to be academically advised and cleared for registration by an academic advisor in University College, a designation for all new and returning students until they declare a major. You may call 569-3386 for an appointment or stop by Ross Hall 406.
Prior to your appointment for academic advising, you should view the UALR Class Schedule and, using the Undergraduate Catalog as a guide for core requirements, select classes you think you would like to take so that you can discuss them with the advisor.
