Advancement has the responsibility to lead UALR in external relations with the broader community. UALR serves as an intellectual and creative resource for central and all of Arkansas. Ours is an institution that contributes to economic development, social health, and cultural vitality, through education, research, and professional outreach.
Through Government Relations, we identify and pursue funding strategies for university priorities and projects. Advancement also provides strategic direction for engaging the campus with the larger community, particularly focusing on new initiatives in which the University should be a participant.
The Alumni Association is charged with maintaining lasting relationships with our graduates and connecting them with businesses and organizations seeking highly qualified candidates
Through various outreach programs and services The Office of Community Engagement helps the public access the intellectual capital on the UALR campus.
Enriching the quality of life for children is essential to promoting healthy, well-rounded and productive adults. Through Children International and Little Rock Promise Neighborhood, UALR joins the community in the endeavor to educate young minds.
The University District Partnership was formed in 2006 to redevelop the areas surrounding the campus improving the quality of life for all persons who live, work, learn, play, shop, socialize, and worship in the area.
The University District Educational Network focuses on increasing educational opportunities and improving educational outcomes for the children growing up in neighborhoods near the campus.
