Student Volunteer Opportunities

Community Engagement

Through the Office of Community Engagement, students can gain knowledge, experience and scholarships through the following service opportunities:

  • Meet professionals from service and nonprofit organizations at the annual Service Fair
  • Search the Service Organizations Directory for volunteer opportunities
  • Apply for internships or minor in poverty studies through the UALR’s Shepherd Program
  • Showcase your leadership skills through the Friday Fellows program

Educational Services

UALR Children International was established to nurture and provide educational enrichment, health and dental care, family assistance and special gifts for children and youth attending the Little Rock Public Schools. You can help by volunteering to perform the following tasks:

  • Tutor or mentor elementary children
  • Lend your expertise and teach a class in computers, art, dance and more
  • Assist with health or dental programs
  • Package and distribute gifts for children during the holidays

Alumni Volunteer Opportunities

Continue serving through our Alumni Association where graduates can stay connected to each other and our campus community. Volunteer in the following areas:

  • Event Participant/Host
  • Leadership Steward
  • Speakers Bureau in the Classroom
  • Gradfest
