Release Number: B18-TPS.14
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the State Data Center Program, one of the U.S. Census Bureau’s longest and most successful partnerships. This partnership, created in 1978 between the Census Bureau and the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Island Areas helps to make Census Bureau data available locally to the public through a network of state, regional and local government agencies; universities; libraries; and chambers of commerce.
The State Data Center Program continues to integrate changes in technology into the process of facilitating public access to data. To learn more about the State Data Center Program, see <http://www.census.gov/about/partners/sdc.html>.
