Phone Alert System Opt-in

UALR requests that all students, faculty and staff provide your phone numbers to receive emergency alert messages. A new feature in BOSS (Banner Online Self Service) allows you to add contact information that will be used in the event of a campus emergency. You may add up to six phone numbers in this alert system that will call your phone numbers with a recorded emergency message.

Instructions:

Access BOSS using your nine-digit T number

  1. Select Personal Information
  2. Select Update Address(s) and Phone(s)
  3. Select Insert Campus Emergency Alert from the pull down box “Type of Address to Insert”
  4. Click the Submit button
  5. Enter the required fields into the entry screen
    1. Valid From Date
    2. Address Line 1
    3. City/State/Zip
  6. Enter a primary phone number and up to five additional phone numbers
  7. Any phone numbers entered will be called in the event of a campus emergency
  8. Click the Submit button
  9. Verify the new address type on the update screen

Please take advantage of this new feature to enter your contact information. You may enter updates as needed. UALR will add the phone numbers to the Alert Express system beginning early next week. If your contact information changes in the future, please make those changes in BOSS because we will update contact information on a regular basis in the Alert Express system.
