The Arkansas National Guard named its first female general at Camp Robinson. Patricia Anslow joined the Arkansas National Guard in 1993 after serving four years active-duty Army. She deployed with the 20th Airborne Engineer Brigade in 1990 during the Persian Gulf War and later served as adjutant of the 30th Engineer Battalion before leaving active duty for the Arkansas National Guard.
Anslow earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Arkansas at Little Rockin 1997. Before UALR she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1989. Since her time at UALR she has continued her education and has received two masters’ degrees. In her new role as assistant adjutant general, she will oversee the states military facilities and training centers.
