Ryan Burgess named new principal at Maumelle Middle School

Burgess earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and a master’s degree in educational leadership/supervision from UALR in 2001.

Burgess most recently was an assistant principal at the Little Rock district’s J.A. Fair High. He previously served as director of education for the Arkansas Division of Youth Services and as a principal for the Alexander Youth Services Center in Alexander. He started his career in education as a social studies teacher at Little Rock’s Dunbar Middle School, where he also was an assistant principal.
