From criminal justice to IT: Eric Sanders carves out career
By Becca Bona
Although originally from San Francisco, Eric Sanders considers Arkansas to be his home. After moving here as a young boy, he found himself in the natural state to stay. He attended high school in Benton before making the trek to the University of Central Arkansas.
As a freshman he didn’t know what he wanted to do, but after a full year he knew he wanted a career in criminal justice, which spurred his transfer to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
“That’s where my UALR experience began,” he said. From his office now, two large photographs on canvas adorn his walls – one of the track at Oaklawn, and one of a nature scene. Pointing up at them he said, “I minored in art, and focused on photography.”
