Great Grads: Roxane Martino ’03 and R.J. Martino ’04
UALR Graduates Run Small Business from CyberCollege
Roxane and R.J. Martino share much more than last names. This brother-sister team is proud to call themselves UALR graduates and creators of iProv LLC., a design and computer services company they operate through the UALR Donaghey College of Information Science and Systems Engineering CyberCollege′s Entrepreneur Incubation program.
Roxane and R.J. started the company five years ago when they were both full-time students. She earned a degree in graphic arts in 2003, and he graduated in 2004 with a degree in computer science. Together they′ve run iProv, gathering clients and creating software and applications that simplify data bases, management and customer service.
“We focus on web applications that make websites more of a functioning tool for companies,” Roxane said. “Our company is getting stronger.”
iProv has grown beyond what its founders imagined. Last year, R.J. was invited to become a board member of EAST – the Environmental and Spatial Technology program where he first began learning about network administration in high school. He also was a recipient of a UALR EAST Lab scholarship.
Now, he has joined the UALR Alumni Association Board of Directors.
“To be nominated into the stellar company of those who currently serve is truly an honor,” Martino said. “I hope that I can play a key role in the development and growth of this organization.”
