While in the Scholars Program, Jeff spent a year at Waseda University in Tokyo. He was also a Truman Finalist and Whitbeck winner. From UALR, he went on to earn a master’s in International Relations from the Maxwell School at Syracuse. He is now Director of the Office of the Pacific Basin for the U.S. Department of Commerce in Washington, DC, where he manages a staff of trade specialists responsible for boosting U.S. exports by addressing foreign government trade barriers in the Asia-Pacific region.
