Scholarships

The UALR Alumni Association is a place where past and future meets. Alumni Association members build relationships with and create opportunities for future alumni. One important way the Association accomplishes this is by providing annual scholarships to students. Each year the Alumni Association awards scholarships; varying in amounts of $500 to $2,000 each.

The application period each year for alumni scholarships runs from the first day of class in January until the first weekday in March. Private Scholarship booklets are available in the Bailey Alumni and Friends Center, Office of Financial Student Services, or Office of Development. Criteria and application processes can change from one year to the next, so we urge you to make sure you have the most recent booklet before applying for our Alumni Merit, Second Generation, and Constituency Chapter Scholarships.

The Alumni Association scholarship application and selection process is handled separately from the other available private scholarships listed in the booklet, so we encourage you to read the directions carefully in order to maximize your chances of being selected.

All applicants will receive a mailed notice in late spring advising them as to their award status. Recipients of the scholarships will be asked to join the UALR Alumni Association board members at a scholarship luncheon held during the year.
