Annual Giving and Alumni Membership Associate
Clayton Andrews has been a member of the Alumni and Development Office since 2010 in an Accounting role. In 2014, he transitioned to Annual Giving and Alumni Membership Associate and now works with alumni and friends to expand Alumni membership and The Fund for UALR. As a recent graduate, he is proud of UALR and understands the importance of keeping alumni connected to their alma mater as well as increasing the UALR footprint in Arkansas. Clayton graduated from UALR with a degree in Political Science and in his spare time enjoys hiking, biking and kayaking around Arkansas.
Derek Boyce â€˜05, CVM
Director of Annual Giving and Alumni Membership
Derek Boyce works to engage alumni in meaningful work and service with the university through Alumni Membership and Annual Giving. Â With Derekâ€™s guidance, the Association has managed to strengthen existing programs that serve graduates, provide career services to alumni, and connect alumni through popular association events. He has taken a personal interest in serving alumni, and assisting students with the Alumni Association Scholarship Program, Trojan Collegiate License Plates, Annual Fund Phonathon, Â and the Student Philanthropy Council.
Linda Martin â€˜84
Bailey Center Coordinator
Linda Martin, BA 84 is the Bailey Center Coordinator. Linda has twenty-five years experience as the office manager of a busy real estate development office. She graduated from UALR with degrees in both English and Marketing and was a Chancellorship Leadership Class Scholarship recipient. Â Linda is also responsible for alumni communications, the Alumni in the News features and alumni social media, including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
Christian Oâ€™Neal â€˜01
Associate Vice Chancellor for Alumni and Development
Christian Oâ€™Neal became Director of Alumni Relations of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in July 2006. Christian strives to make the UALR Alumni Association the university’s central strategic coordinator for alumni relations — the chief conduit through which UALR alumni and its 60,000 graduates communicate with each other. Under Christianâ€™s direction, the Association has launched new initiatives across the state and around the country, including hosting alumni gatherings in Washington D.C., and working to inform UALR graduates and friends statewide about legislative issues that are critical for the university’s future. He has helped the UALR Alumni Association to become the Fastest Growing Alumni Association in the State of Arkansas, by growing its membership to serve more alumni, and establishing its scholarship program as the cornerstone of the Association to provide more scholarships to university students.
Skylar Whitaker is a student at UALR, pursuing his BA in Sociology, and is one of the 2014-2015 Alumni Student Scholarship recipients. Prior to becoming a student here, Skylar graduated from Sheridan High School in Sheridan, Arkansas. He is known on campus for founding the UALR Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and his role as inaugural Chair of the Legionnaires, an ambassador team under the Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management. He joined the team of Alumni Association staff in June of 2014. He assists in reaching out to alumni members to help them maintain their connection with the Alumni Association, as well as reconnecting with past members. Skylar also works on several projects for the Office of Alumni and Development, such as maintaining spreadsheets, retrieving information from different databases, and assisting Alumni members with a variety of their purchases via telephone.
