Congratulations on the 75th Anniversary of University
of Arkansas-Little Rock.
I am proud to be part of the university's history.
I had previously graduated from Gallaudet University, Washington,
D.C. in 1979 with a BA in Economics. After returning home to Little
Rock, I continued my joy of learning at UALR where I earned a
BA in History in 1990 and a third BA in Political Science in 1999.
I was the first multiply disabled (profound deafness and cerebral
palsy) graduate of UALR in 1990. And, the first such student to
receive two BA degrees from UALR.
I am very proud of this hearing urban university and how it enabled
me to achieve these goals.
