Mummy Talk November 14

On Wednesday, November 14 at 12:00 p.m., Dr. Mark Hartmann of the UALR Department of Sociology and Anthropology will present a lecture entitled, “Mummies Among Us: Egyptian Mummies in the United States.”  The lecture will be held in Stabler Hall, Room 111.  It is free and open to the public.  Sponsored by the UALR Middle East Studies Program.

ASAA Conference to be held at UALR, November 9, 2007

The 37th Annual Conference of the Arkansas Sociological and Anthropological Association will be held on Friday, November 9 at UALR in the Donaghey Student Center, Rooms A & B.  The conference will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  This year’s conference theme is “Diversity Today: The 50th Anniversary of Central High School” and will feature several speakers from across the state.  Visitors to the conference should park in the parking deck across from the Donaghey Student Center.  For more information, contact Dr. Kinko Ito, at 569-3170.
