Dr. Mark Hartmann is Associate Professor of Anthropology. He earned a BA in Anthropology in 1990 and a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University in 1996. Dr. Hartmann has conducted research in the United States, the Middle East, and Central America. His teaching interests include Archaeology, Physical Anthropology, Human Evolution, Forensic Anthropology, Primatology, and the Middle East. Dr. Hartmann also directs students in the Primate Enrichment Program at the Little Rock Zoo as well as being the faculty sponsor of the Anthropology Club and Lambda Alpha, the Anthropology Honor Society.
Dr. Hartmann is also the faculty sponsor for the UALR Anthropology Club and Lambda Alpha, the Anthropology Honor Society. This year he is serving as coordinator of the Anthropology program.
