Arkansas Public Administration Consortium

The CVM Program

The Certified Volunteer Manager Program (CVM)

“Managing volunteers effectively has become increasingly important for organizations and has never really been addressed in a significant way.”-Gary Lee, UPS Foundation
The Arkansas Public Administration Consortium developed and sponsors a nationally recognized Certified Volunteer Manager Program (CVM) designed for administrators, directors, managers, and coordinators of volunteers and volunteer programs.  The DHS Division of Volunteerism is the cosponsor of the program.

Being one of the first of its kind in the nation, it teaches administrators and managers of volunteer programs how to effectively manage their volunteer staff by providing them with leadership and management training designed specifically for the needs of the volunteer professional.

CVM certification is recognized and supported by the State of Arkansas, the Governors Office, the DHHS Division of Volunteerism and the Association for Volunteer Administration (AVA), an international organization for professionals in the field of volunteer administration.
