A paper co-author by Chris Robinson, GuruPrasad M. Hegde, Cang Ye, Ashley Stroupe, and Edward Tunstel won the Toshio Fukuda Best Paper Award in Mechatronics in 2010 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics and Automation. The paper was entitled “Computer Vision Based Wheel Sinkage Detection for Robotic Lunar Exploration Task.”
