Daily sessions are from 8:00 a.m. until 4:45 p.m.

Individuals or school districts will be charged the entire $500 institute fee if they do not cancel and do not attend.

Clothing Suggestions: Dress for class is casual and comfortable. Because summer days in Arkansas are hot and humid, light clothing is recommended. All classrooms are well air-conditioned. Because some can be cold, it is advisable to bring a sweater or jacket.

Schedule: Sessions begin on Monday with an opening orientation at 8:00 a.m. in the Center for Performing Arts and end at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Check-in begins at 6:35 a.m. on Monday on the bottom level of the Donaghey Student Center in front of the Bookstore. Early Institute check-in is available from 3:30 p.m.- 5:30 p.m. on Sunday in the East Hall Dorm.

Course Cancellation: Every effort is made to maintain Institute course offerings. Events such as instructor illness, inclement weather, or insufficient enrollment may require schedule adjustment or course cancellation. Participants will be notified of any changes to the published information or cancellations by June 1.

Arkansas Department of Education Grant: The Arkansas Advanced Placement Professional Development Center has a grant from the Arkansas Department of Education to pay the registration fee and on-campus housing for Arkansas Pre-AP and AP public school teachers who register before funds are exhausted. The grant funds will be awarded with the following priority:

Priority 3: AP and Pre-AP teachers who have been trained in the last 4 years.

Participants seeking graduate credit must apply online and pay the $40 application fee for acceptance to the graduate school. Official copies of transcripts, faxed copies of current teacher license and vaccination records must be received before the file is reviewed for acceptance. Applicants may track their status online and will be notified by email of the decision regarding their acceptance.
