The graphic design curriculum prepares students as design professionals for positions in a variety of businesses. Graduates secure positions with internet companies, advertising and marketing firms, design departments and other organizations, in addition to freelance work. Students are introduced to processes concerning typography, logo design, page layout, and web site design. Using both traditional graphic design methods and computer design techniques, classes stress creativity and the technical aspects of the profession.
Students in the graphic design program utilize state-of-the-art equipment including Apple iMacs loaded with the most current versions of the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and various web and multimedia applications, as well as materials for the preparation of printed work for presentation.
