Yucatan, Mexico (May 29-June 9, 2012)
An undergraduate and graduate course “Ancient Maya Art and Architecture” in which students will study ancient Maya art, architecture, culture and Colonial art and architecture. In this 12 day program we will visit ancient Maya and cultural sites of Chichen Itza, Dzibilchaltun, Uxmal, Labna, Sayil, Kabah, Ek Balam, Chacmultun, and Loltun cave. Additional excursions will include a visit to the Colonial city of Izamal and Merida where we will visit the Museo Regional de Antropologia, the Plaza Grande, the Cathedral de San Ildefonso, and the Palacio Municipal.

Program Cost: $1990.00
Includes: round trip airfare, in country travel, lodging, entry fees, all breakfasts, three lunches, and a farewell dinner. This cost does not include tuition for the three-credit course. Finanical aid is available for students registering.

An information session will take place on November 2, 2011 at 2PM in the Fine Arts building room 161.
