Istanpitta Early Music EnsembleIstanpitta performs music of the 10th to 14th century Middle Ages including many traditional Middle Eastern dances. The ensemble consists of 3-5 musicians playing a variety of period instruments including oud, lute, saz, early percussion, shawms, recorders, transverse flutes, krummhorns, vielles, Medieval harp, bagpipes and voice. The ensemble performs live at formal concert venues, universities as well as fairs and festivals Sunday, September 14, 2008, 3:00 p.m.

Nathan Granner & Beau Bledsoe, tenor & guitarClose friends and musical compatriots with a fearless attitude toward classical music, Nathan Granner and Beau Bledsoe are earning standing ovations everywhere they go. These two young masters have consistently challenged audiences throughout the world with programs that include new commissioned works, innovative transcriptions of classical and popular song as well as genre-bending renditions of American Spirituals and traditional Flamenco.

Aviv String QuartetAviv String Quartet performs annually as the resident quartet at the Upper Galilee Chamber Music Festival at Kfar Blum, as well as major venues throughout Israel. These accomplished performers have made their mark at the Wigmore Hall in London; the Auditorium du Louvre, Theatre de Ville and Theatre du Chatelet in Paris; Carnegie Hall in New York; and the Library of Congress and Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. Appearing at notable festivals worldwide, the Aviv String Quartet participated in the Amadeus Quartet summer course at the Royal Academy of Music in London and represented Israel at 1998 Encounters chamber music course in Jerusalem under the direction of Isaac Stern and with members of the Emerson and Juilliard Quartets. Main Floor Season Ticket $80 Friends of the Arts Members receive a 5% discount off of season ticket prices. Artspree is funded in part by the UALR Society for Philanthropy. Artspree is a member of the Association of Performing Arts Presenters and the Southwest Association of Presenters . Patrons desiring disability accommodations of any kind should contact the Artspree office at least two weeks before the scheduled event. Students must show current ID when getting tickets. Students are eligible for but not guaranteed tickets, as limited numbers are available, especially for more popular events. Children under the age of 6 years are not admitted to Artspree.
