Bachelor of Arts in Interpretation: ASL/English

Pulaski Technical College

Pulaski Technical College began offering American Sign Language courses in Fall 2006, using methodology and materials that are compatible with UALR’s Interpreter Education Program. Students who take ASL courses at Pulaski Tech can transition to upper level ASL and interpreting classes at UALR, and those students who would like to transfer to UALR and major in Interpreting may take the UALR course INTR 1340 Deaf Culture concurrently while enrolled at Pulaski Tech. These courses should be taken before program completion at Pulaski Tech to reduce the amount of time from transfer to degree completion.

Interested students should contact Ms. Karen Wisdom at Pulaski Tech (UALR’s liaison) at (501) 812-2255 or Dr. Linda Stauffer at (501) 569-3169 to discuss their program of study options.
