Think Transatlantic: The United States & Germany in the 21st Century

The German Studies program at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock presents Think Transatlantic - a series of events sponsored by the German Embassy in Washington, D.C., and the UALR German Club that will celebrate German culture through music, performance, athletics, politics, and food.  Plus, students will be able to compete against others from around the state, with the state winners going on to compete nationally for trips to Germany!
Events include:

  • October 20 @ 9:00 a.m. - Soccer Tournament - UALR Coleman Sports Complex
  • October 23 @ 7:00 p.m. - Nora Gomringer Meets Wortart Ensemble - How do five professional Jazz singers and a performance poet from Germany interact when they share one stage? Lean in and Listen. - UALR Stella Boyle Concert Hall
  • November 2 @ 7:00 p.m. - Oktoberfest - A German-themed gala - Otteheimer Market Hall, 3rd floor, Rivermarket $10
  • December 2 @ 3:00 p.m. - The 3 B’s: Cello Concert with Birgit Beetz (Abegg Trio) & Naoki Hakutani (UALR) - UALR Stella Boyle Concert Hall
