Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts: Online

BALA Spring 2010 Advising

I (Dana Steele) will be going on Maternity leave starting October 12th.  So, I will be leaving on October 9th and will not return until January 4th.

What this will mean to everyone that wants to attend for Spring 2010 or graduate in Fall 2009 is this:

1)      Advising will start NOW and as long as you have your request in by October 1st, I will have you cleared for advising before I leave.  (requests should include what you ‘might’ like to take in Spring 2010 and your ID number)

2)      After I leave, Keesha Johnson the Assistant Dean of Student Services for the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences will take over advising and answering email/phone questions.  Her email is krjohnson@ualr.edu and her phone number is 501-569-3350.  (NO calls or email until after October 9th should be sent to her).   My goal is to have you advised in advance so that Keesha can just answer any last minute questions.

3)      The schedule will not go live until September 21st.  So, below I have a copy of a grid that I created with the help of the departments on what they project to offer in the Spring.  We can advise according to the list and on September 21st (or before if I can arrange it) you can get the BALA crns for registration from the standard BALA class schedule linked to the left at www.ualr.edu/bala .  NOTE:  CRJU, HSCI, MATH, and SPCH are not reflected on the below list at this time.

4)      If you plan on taking your LAST requirements in the Fall 2009 semester, please submit your Graduation Application for Fall 2009 term by October 1st so that I can process your request before I leave on the 9th.
