Concentrations
Working with an online advisor, each student develops an individualized program of study. Students study in three concentrations (two of which must be within the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences) and take a minimum of 6 courses (18 hours) in each discipline selected.
Available concentrations within the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences include:
- History
- Legal Studies
- Philosophy/Religious Studies
- Political Science
- Psychology
- Professional and Technical Writing
- Sociology
Available concentrations outside of the College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences include:
- Criminal Justice
- Health Sciences
- Management
- Mathematics
- Speech Communication
In addition to the three concentrations, all BAIS majors must take two required major classes.
- LIST 3310 Reasoning Across the Disciplines - to be taken in your junior year
- LIST 4310 Liberal Arts Colloquium - to be taken in your senior year
