General Finance

Students choosing the General Finance emphasis develop conceptual knowledge and practical skills for careers in corporate finance and investment.  All majors at UALR require 124 credit hours.

General Finance - Emphasis I  (24 Hours)

  • Financial Markets and Institutions (FINC 3340)
  • Investment Analysis (FINC 3350)
  • International Finance (FINC 4320) or Derivatives (FINC 4362)
  • Advanced Financial Management (FINC 4395)
  • Four courses from the following, at least two courses must be finance
    • Bank Financial Management (FINC 4320)
    • Risk Management (FINC 4360)
    • Financing Entrepreneurial Ventures (FINC 4363)
    • Real Estate Finance and Investment (FINC 4371)
    • Portfolio Management (FINC 4380)
