First-Time Freshmen Housing Exemption
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock has a new policy that requires first-time, full-time freshmen to live on campus. However, students will be exempt if they are participating in off-campus programs, including:
• E-Commerce degree at UALR Benton Center; or
• Take 2 or more courses at UALR Benton Center
Other exemptions include:
• Students 21 years of age and older;
• Married students;
• Students who are parents or legal guardians of their dependent living in the home;
• Participants in programs not on the main campus (Benton Center, online programs, etc.);
• Transfer students who have attended college since graduating from high school (except summer); or
• Individuals who have documented mitigating circumstances.
Exemption Request
Deadlines: July 1 for the fall, 2013 semester and December 1 for the spring, 2014 semester.
To be considered for the exemption, students must submit the Fall 2013 First-Time Freshman Housing Exemption Form and supporting documents to the UALR Housing office by the above deadlines.
