Bachelor of Social Work

Advising

All students who declare social work as their major are assigned to one of four social work faculty for academic advising. Students are expected to maintain contact with your advisor and to contact him/her prior to registration for classes each semester. In addition, it is your responsibility to track your progress toward your core requirements and social work major requirements. A list of students and their advisors are posted in this Faculty Advisor Link: Prior to each advising session with your advisor, you should complete one of the following forms: (the 124 hour form for those students enrolled in the BSW program prior to Fall 2012) or (the 120 hour program plan for those students coming in to the program in Fall 2012 or later).  You will also need to identify the courses you plan to take in the upcoming semester. Your advisor will discuss this form with you and put a completed copy of the form in your file after each advising session. In the spring semester of your senior year, you and your advisor will have to sign a copy of this form before your graduation application can be approved.
