The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) and the Central Arkansas Library System (CALS) have created the state’s largest facility dedicated to the study of Arkansas history and culture in the Arkansas Studies Institute building.

Located in the River Market District, these collections include more than 10 million archival items from the UALR Center for Arkansas History and Culture and the Butler Center for Arkansas Studies, a CALS department.
