- While many netbooks and other ultraportable computers offer specifications similar to our minimum recommendations, some of the college’s departments have concerns about the small display size and students’ ability to work as expected. Please check with your major department before choosing a netbook or other ultraportable as your main computer.
- Desktop computers and other fixed technology used on campus must access the network via a wired connection and disable any wireless network adapters, according to UALR’s wireless network policy.
- UALR provides McAfee VirusScan to students for free.
