Pianist Roger McVey will perform at a guest artist recital Friday, November 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Building.
Admission is free and open to the public.
The program will include “Partita no. 1 in B-flat major” by J.S. Bach, “China Gates” by John Adams, and several selections of pieces by Sergei Rachmaninoff.
McVey has performed as a soloist and collaborative pianist throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. He is an assistant professor of piano at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where he teaches applied piano, class piano, music history, and piano pedagogy.
McVey will also hold a piano master class Saturday, November 6 at 3 p.m. in Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall. This event is also open to the public.
