A servant girl saves the life of an abandoned baby during war time. The child’s wealthy mother returns to claim him. Their fates lie in the hands of a strange judge more concerned with personal gain than the needs of his community. Dr. Jay Raphael, chair of the theatre arts and dance department, said, “In Brecht’s hands this parable of the human condition is a twisted theatrical tale told with stinging humor. The dramatic questions remain: Is the law always just? Is what is just, always true?”
Directed by Theatre Arts Associate Professor Wayne Chapman, the cast includes Memory Apata, Michael Bartholmey, Brittany Goodlow, Anthony Bryant, Jeffrey Hayes, Calvin Chester, Kayla Chapin, Andy Compton, Carrie Henry, Rodney Holston, Gabriel Ippolito, Samantha Key, Matt Maguire, Stephen Perry, and Lise Strigel.
