Philosophy Hosts Guest Speaker March 9

Dr. Glenn Whitehouse, philosophy department chair at Florida Gulf Coast University, will discuss “The sustainability of the humanities and the challenge of scientism,” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 9 in UALR’s Dickinson Hall Auditorium.

This lecture is in honor of Dr. Richard Frothingham, UALR emeritus professor of philosophy and religious studies. Dr. Frothingham has worked in and supported the philosophy and liberal studies department since 1962.

The event is sponsored by the Department of Philosophy and Liberal Studies along with the Socratic Society and Phi Sigma Tau. Admission is free and open to the public.
