The UALR Department of Music presents the UALR Wind Ensemble concert with Susan Antonetti conducting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2012 in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the Fine Arts building. This ensemble will feature UALRâ€™s Associate Professor of saxophone Andy Wen, as well as freshman tuba student John Pearson of Benton, AR.

Antonetti earned her B.A. degree in music education from Arkansas Tech University, and her masterâ€™s degree in music performance from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. As a band director, she has experience in middle, junior high, and high school education. She has earned state-wide, regional, and national acclaim for her efforts as a band director. She is a member of the Class Flute Quartet, the Hot Springs Flute Ensemble, and is a piccoloist with the Little Rock Wind Symphony.
Wen earned his bachelorâ€™s degree in music from Ohio University, his masterâ€™s degree in music from Indiana University, and his doctor of music degree in musical arts from the University of Georgia. He is a founding member of the Arkansas Saxophone Quartet and a member of the Little Rock Wind Symphony. Â Wen has performed in over twenty states, and several countries around the world.
