Songwriters showcases are invaluable for students and performers of all levels. As Dr. Robert Boury explains: “A song is not really finished until you send it out in the world to see what an audience thinks.”
This year’s showcase features UALR alum, visiting artist, and soprano, Ruth Sieber-Johnson. Sieber-Johnson graduated from UALR in 1982 with a bachelor of music degree in voice. She currently lives in Asheville, North Carolina and Serves as the National Secretary over operations for Sigma Alpha Iota Music Fraternity for Women.
Sieber-Johnson will also give a master class, “The Art of Singing Twentieth Century Music,” in the choir room of the Fine Arts Building at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 19.
