The Pep Band supports the UALR Basketball program and represents the university as musical ambassadors throughout and beyond Arkansas. The Pep Band appears annually at the Arkansas State Fair, the Little Rock River Market, and recently returned from its second invited performance at the Cat Head Blues Festival. At the festival the band was one of the headliners at Ground Zero Blues Club, owned by Morgan Freeman. This performance will feature the music performed at the festival and will be recorded for a live CD to be released this summer.

The Percussion Ensemble celebrates over ten years of high energy performance throughout the Midwest and the South. The group has worked with the International House of Blues Foundation in New Orleans, LA and has performed at the House of Blues Club itself. The group explores a wide range of repertoire representing the most current and recognized composers in percussion literature through the use of both traditional and modern percussion instruments.
