What is "Time for UALR"?
The institution's first ever comprehensive giving campaign seeking student, program, faculty and facility support across all academic and non academic units.

How long is the campaign?
The silent or leadership phase began in 2005. The public phase launched in September 2008 and will conclude December 31, 2011.

Why does UALR need these funds in addition to its state support?
It became apparent in Chancellor Anderson’s strategic planning initiative that UALR was not yet the institution central Arkansas deserved. To fulfill the strategic mission outlined in the Chancellor’s remarks on the campaign home page, additional resources are needed. As we transition from a state supported institution to state assisted, we must increase our resources without putting a greater burden on student tuition.

Can I direct my gift to specific areas or programs?
Yes, gifts may be directed to any unit, college, department, scholarship, athletic, or student service program.

How long do I have to make my gift?
We encourage you to make a commitment during the campaign window which concludes in December, 2011. Pledges may be made over a three to five year period.

Is my gift tax deductible?
Yes. Gifts are tax deductible to the maximum amount allowed by law. Consult your tax adviser for more information.

Who holds and invests the money I give?
The University of Arkansas system foundation manages the fiscal affairs of donations made, but they are held for the specific UALR purpose you designate.

How much should I give?
Giving is a personal decision and an investment in our collective future. Your appreciation for UALR and the role it plays in our community should help guide your commitment.

What about an estate gift? Does that count?
Yes, a future planned gift is credited to the campaign. Planned Giving Director Mary Boaz will be happy to assist in your planning.
