It is with extreme gratitude that I write this letter of thanks to you. My name is LaQuinta Broyles. I am the proud recipient of the Bernice and Curtis Harris Endowed Scholarship. I am a senior majoring in Accounting and Finance at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Outside of my academic requirements, I serve as treasurer for the Black Business Student Association on campus and work as a full-time employee at UALR. I am also a member of the Teaching Enhancements Affecting Minority Students (TEAMS). Within this organization, I dedicate hours to volunteer in positive events for groups such as the 4-H Club and the Minority Health Coalition. After graduation in 2009, I hope to further my education by enrolling at the UALR Bowen School of Law in 2010.
Coming from a small town of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, it was instilled in me by my parents, both of whom are struggling entrepreneurs, to reach for the stars. As you can see, my career goals are not far from what they asked. Thanks to your confidence in me, you reaffirm that my dreams are possible.
Throughout my academic career at UALR, I aim for excellence. Every semester I challenge myself to increase my GPA higher than the semester before. Receiving this scholarship will make that goal much easier to obtain. Your generous donation is appreciated and accepted with extreme honor. I once again thank you sincerely for believing in me.
Thanks again for your generous contribution,
LaQuinta Broyles
