Saturday, August 12
Move-In, 8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m. • Campus Living –  Students move into their respective Residence Halls.

Bookstore Open, 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. DSC Bookstore – Haven’t purchased your books yet?  Looking to purchase some UA Little Rock gear? Come on by the bookstore and get whatever you need before classes start on Wednesday!

Sunday, August 13
Brunch, 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. DSC Trojan Cafe – Come enjoy a delicious brunch to start the day.

Rachel’s Challenge, 1:00-3:00 p.m. DSC Ledbetter Hall –  The inspiring story of Rachel Scott whose example of kindness and acceptance was brought to light when she became the first victim in the Columbine High School tragedy. Conveyed through stories from Rachel’s life and writings, this keynote address shows the profound positive impact we can have on those around us. The presentation demonstrates to the listener the power of deliberately reaching out in word and action to others to start what Rachel called “a chain reaction of kindness and compassion.” It encourages participants to examine their own lives.

SASI Ice Cream Social, 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. DSC Ledbetter Hall – Come enjoy ice cream with your Student Affairs Success Initiative Staff.

Dinner, 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. DSC Trojan Cafe – Come enjoy a delicious dinner in the Trojan Cafe.

Trojan Wars, 7:00-9:00 p.m. DSC Ledbetter Hall –  An interactive sex education session that is not only informative, but a great time for students!  Have questions about sex?  Ask them here during this unfiltered event.


 

Monday, August 14
Scholar’s Day 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Various Locations –  Get to know the students in your scholar’s program with activities, icebreakers, and sessions designed specifically for your program.

Dinner, 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. DSC Trojan Cafe – Come enjoy a delicious dinner in the Trojan Cafe.

***MOVED TO UA LITTLE ROCK FIELDHOUSE*** Block Party, 7:00-10:00 p.m. –  Kick off the semester right with the biggest block party UA Little Rock has ever seen! Come out and enjoy Dairy Queen treats and listen to your favorite music as Nationally known DJ Chocolate takes the stage and sets the semester off the right way!


 

Tuesday, August 15
Blackboard Student Orientation Workshop, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.  Dickinson Hall, Room 101 – Need help navigating Blackboard? Have no fear, we have you covered here! Stop by Dickinson Hall Room 101 to learn everything you need to know for those online courses.

Convocation, 11:00 a.m.-Noon  University Theater –  This ceremony will mark the beginning of the freshman class’ academic journey, providing them with the opportunity to assemble as the class of 2021.

Lunch, Org Fair, Pep Rally with Little Rock’s Teams, Noon  DSC Fitness Center – Grab a bite to eat, explore all of UA Little Rock’s organizations, and meet the Trojans during this event.

Bookstore Fashion Show & VIP Event, 1:00 p.m.  DSC Bookstore – Interested in seeing all the latest UA Little Rock fashions?  Stop by the Bookstore to see all the latest fashions, and buy your books too at the VIP Event.

Dinner, 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.  DSC Trojan Cafe – Come enjoy a delicious dinner in the Trojan Cafe.

Wipeout & Recreation Night  7:00-8:30 p.m. •  DSC Fitness Center – Want to play basketball?  What about dodgeball?  If that doesn’t interest you, our Wipeout course, based on the hit ABC television show sure will! Come out and see if you can complete the course without wiping out!

Back to School Breakfast, 8:00 -10:00 p.m.  DSC Trojan Cafe- The semester officially starts tomorrow, so why not get a head start on breakfast with some pancakes and other breakfast essentials?

Meet & Greet with SGA, 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.  DSC Foyer –  Stop by and meet your SGA representatives.

Trojan Tailgate, 6:00-7:00 p.m.  Coleman Sports Complex-  Come out and support the soccer team, hangout with student organizations, and enjoy the delicious food trucks in preparation for the soccer game!

Soccer Game: UA Little Rock vs. Central Arkansas, 7:00 p.m.  Coleman Sports Complex-  Come out and support the soccer team in their first game of the season! Go Trojans!


 

Saturday, August 19
7th Annual Reach 13,000 Kickball Tournament, Check-In 3:00 p.m.  Coleman Sports Complex –  CLC hosts the 7th Annual Reach 13,000 Kickball Tournament.  Always popular with students, come out and play or watch the games.  Enjoy food, listen and dance to the music, play games with Campus Living, EIT, or hangout with the student organizations.  Want to register a team?
