Dr. Kushner joined UALR in 2006 as coordinator of the Counselor Education program. His twenty years in the field of education have included positions as teacher, school counselor, college counselor, and research assistant.

A generalist counselor educator with experience in school and mental health counseling, Dr. Kushner’s academic degrees include a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision (University of Arkansas, 2006), an M.A. in Guidance and Counselor Education, and a B.A. in English (University of South Florida, 2001; 1994).
