The field of conflict mediation is expanding nationwide in business, government, and education. Conflict mediators assist individuals and groups in reaching agreements on matters ranging from employee grievances to child custody. Many courts are beginning to refer cases to mediation before they are litigated. Businesses are realizing cost savings and achieving better team working environments through the use of internal dispute resolution processes. Schools are using programs from peer mediation training for students to parent and community education efforts to reduce conflict.

Graduate Certificates…

…generally require around one-half as many hours as a master’s degree and are one of the fastest growing components of graduate education. They provide the opportunity to specialize in a particular subject area through a shorter, more focused program of study.
